Part1
Recently, I have become very interested in The Amazing Digital Circus, and on the internet I have seen many fan-made characters created within this universe. What I found the most appealing was the idea of referencing childhood toys and objects, so I came up with the concept of a character inspired by a little chestnut figurine. Shuu is made of chestnuts, paper, and toothpicks. At first glance she appears to be very positive and open, but in reality she is rather withdrawn, and it is often difficult to understand her true intentions. She enjoys writing song lyrics, and before ending up in the Digital Circus she was studying and earning some extra money as a seamstress, sewing cosplay costumes on commission. During that time she was also involved in a troubling situation, as she faced a court case related to stalking someone. This was partly a consequence of her tendency to become overly fixated or even obsessed with certain people.
She maintains mostly positive relationships with the other characters, although on difficult days she can be grumpy and discouraged toward everyone except for Gangle, with whom she immediately formed a connection from the very first day in the Digital Circus. She treats Ragatha, Zooble, and Kinger in a friendly manner, but she does not seek deeper bonds with them, as she does not consider them very interesting.
Her relationship with Jax is much more complicated... Shuu displays something similar to Stockholm syndrome. One day she may feel romantic affection towards him and behave like a devoted admirer, while on another day, if Jax does something cruel, she can instantly hate him… only to soon fall for him again and search for excuses for his bad behaviour. Her tendency towards obsession only makes this cycle stronger, keeping her trapped in a confusing pattern of attraction and rejection.
As for Pomni, Shuu does not trust her very much, mainly because she is new. She is also somewhat sceptical of her, as in Shuu’s opinion Jax gives Pomni too much attention, which makes her feel jealous.
