Shuu tends to get really fixated, especially when someone ignores or rejects her. She swings between extremes, one moment doing everything to get their attention, and the next completely falling apart. She keeps telling herself it is just strong feelings, but deep down she knows it is something darker. She can get obsessive, even a little stalkerish. When she likes someone, she studies them, remembers every detail, and reads too much into every little thing they say. It is not just admiration anymore, it is an obsession.
In the Digital Circus, that side of her only got worse. The isolation and lack of limits make her attach to people way too easily, as if they are the only thing keeping her sane. Things with Jax are especially dangerous, he loves to provoke, and she reacts to everything he says like a spark to a fuse. Their connection is a mix of attraction and madness, and if one of them does not step back, Jax might end up as the victim of her obsession, unless Shuu breaks first.
On the outside, she still tries to act cheerful. She hums songs, writes silly rhymes, pretends that everything is fine. But if you look close enough, you can see how her hands shake when Jax walks by. She is just a girl made of chestnuts, paper, and toothpicks, trying to keep herself together in a world where nothing feels real.
